How this version works: Two players receive 13 cards. On your turn, draw from the stock or select any visible card in the discard pile and take that card plus every card above it. If you take from the discard pile, the selected card must be used in a meld before you discard. Melds are sets of 3 or 4 cards of the same rank, or runs of 3 or more consecutive cards in the same suit. Aces may be low or high, but cannot wrap around. You may lay cards onto your own existing melds. After playing melds, discard one card to end your turn. Card values are A=15, face cards=10, all others face value. At the end of a round, melded cards score positive points and cards left in your hand count against you. First to 500 wins.
